Product Description

A ring main unit (RMU) is an electrical equipment that installs a set of high-voltage switchgear inside a steel plate metal enclosure and assembles them into compartmentalized ring power supply units, with secondary monitoring or protection equipment installed according to user needs. It is mainly used for ring-type power supply, as well as fault isolation and recovery in power supply. Its characteristics are simple structure, small volume, low price, and the ability to improve power supply parameters, performance, and safety. The HXGNS series ring main unit is an SF₆ gas-insulated metal-enclosed ring main unit suitable for secondary distribution networks with a rated voltage of 17.5kV and a frequency of 50/60Hz. HXGNS can be applied to most switching applications in 17.5kV distribution networks.

The HXGNS-17.5 series switchgear is a modular, fully insulated, and fully sealed ring main switchgear suitable for medium-voltage distribution networks. The HXGNS-17.5 series switchgear can be used both indoors and outdoors. When used indoors, most units constitute indoor switching stations and can be installed immediately after leaving the factory without any special tools; the protection rating of the switchgear’s gas chamber can reach IP67. When used outdoors, the protection rating of the enclosure is generally IP54, primarily used in medium-voltage distribution networks, where the equipment remains unaffected by external environmental factors such as high altitude, condensation, pollution, small animals, and chemical substances. Featuring a small volume and maintenance-free design, it is widely applied in distribution network systems such as urban commercial centers, industrial concentration zones, airports, and highways. It is not only beneficial for the flexible application of line ring networks but can also be designed for dual-power automatic transfer power supplies to guarantee power supply reliability. Prior to shipment, all of our unit modules have undergone factory testing.
