PV Grid-Tied Cabinet

The core grid-tied distribution equipment of the photovoltaic power generation system, achieving power filtering, metering, protection, and remote monitoring, guarantees safe and compliant grid connection. It is widely used in various photovoltaic and energy storage support systems.

Product Description

The PV grid-tied cabinet (also known as a PV grid-connected distribution cabinet or grid-connected switchgear) is the core power distribution equipment for achieving AC grid connection in photovoltaic power generation systems. It interfaces between the AC combiner box (or inverter) and the power grid (or transformer).

The equipment typically features a powder-coated cold-rolled steel enclosure with a protection rating of IP30 or above. It is internally equipped with core components including circuit breakers, disconnector switches, earthing switches, voltage/current transformers, surge protective devices (SPDs), metering instruments, and measurement, control, and protection units. It achieves power filtering, metering, overload/short-circuit/ground fault protection, lightning protection, grid connection switching, and fault isolation for the AC output of the PV system.

Some models integrate intelligent measurement and control modules to capture real-time data such as grid voltage, current, power factor, and power quality. Through an RS485 interface (Modbus RTU protocol), it enables remote monitoring and dispatch.

The cabinet is adaptable to voltage levels such as AC 380V/400V (low-voltage grid connection) or 10kV/35kV (medium-voltage grid connection), and meets operational requirements in environments ranging from –30°C to +70°C. It effectively guarantees the safe, stable, and compliant grid connection of photovoltaic power, and is widely applied in the grid-connection stages of distributed PV projects, large-scale PV power plants, and energy storage support systems.
