JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — June 26, 2025 — ZLink, a smart energy solutions brand under Hexing Electrical, today launched its new South African manufacturing plant, marking a pivotal milestone in the brand’s drive toward localized production and technical innovation.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew over 120 industry leaders, including officials from South Africa’s Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), municipal representatives, and key partners from the water and energy sectors. The acting director-general of the dtic praised ZLink’s investment as “a prime example of sustainable development that simultaneously creates jobs and upgrades critical infrastructure.”
“This factory represents more than just capacity expansion; it is our solemn commitment to growing together with South Africa through technology transfer and talent cultivation,” emphasized Li Binbin, CEO of Hexing Electrical South Africa. The event concluded with a vibrant lion dance performance, vividly showcasing the seamless fusion of ZLink’s Chinese heritage and African development.
As ZLink’s first specialized production base in Africa, the factory will manufacture advanced metering and IoT solutions while creating numerous technical jobs for the local community. Expressing gratitude for the widespread support, ZLink hailed the opening as a vital milestone toward building smart, sustainable communities together.
